This is a fantastic story about the Kissimmee River in Florida. Over the last 100 years this river was subjected to drainage to create agricultural land and its natural bends straightened to form channels that would carry the water quickly to sea.

The impact on wildlife was devastating. Now after a project taking more than 20 years the channels have been removed and much of the river has been restored to its natural state

The results have been amazing. Read all about it here!
